Last week’s number of active players in the all time top ten players list dwindled to two. A result of the battering the master players took in practicing with each other in preparation for the Online Male Oware Championship. In addition to this the influx of master players especially from Benin 🇧🇯 further compounded the dampening effect on players ranking points.
The Oga Ota of Nigeria 🇳🇬 mrjohnson remains in the lead, with a reduced 2300 points, suffering single game defeats at the hands of ayirungo 🇬🇭 among others. The three Ghanian 🇬🇭 players: akrugu, ayirungo & roberisco are hot on his heals. However they will have to undertake some serious training sessions to stand a chance of competing & winning a match against him.
In spite of the dampening effect on ranking points already stated, the threshold for entry into the active top ten increased. All the players in the list are orange zone (1800+) master players. Well. done to them for prevailing amongst such intense competition 👏👏👏.
The giant of Afrika, Nigeria 🇳🇬 continues to dominate the top ten of active players ranking list, with 5 players in the top 10; mrjohnson, akere, akinking 🇳🇬, oladelefire & 🇳🇬 joshyboo1. The players from Ghana 🇬🇭 continue to make their presence felt, this with the same 3 players in the active top ten list: akrugu, ayirungo & roberisco. grandmastert from Antigua & Barbuda 🇦🇬 once again remains the lone ranger, being the only one known playing from outside Afrika on the list. To complete the list is laladom from Togo 🇹🇬 in 7th position.
Just below the top ten radar are master players like kasoniga 🇳🇬, dsk 🇧🇯, ocato 🇧🇯. etc among the active players & the hibernators: aiyedunseun 🇳🇬, tchayna , lordcity 🇬🇭 etc waiting in the wings to take their places.
