The number of participants in these open practice tournaments (Oware League) increased by one to ninety-one, with the participation of roberisco from Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ, after attempting on & off to do so since 2020. The number countries represented still stands at 23. With 21 players from Uganda ๐บ๐ฌ, 11 players from Colombia ๐จ๐ด, 7 from Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ, 6 from Kazakhstan ๐ฐ๐ฟ, 5 from Kyrgyzstan ๐ฐ๐ฌ, 4 from China ๐จ๐ณ, 4 from the UK ๐ฌ๐ง, 4 from France ๐ซ๐ท, 4 from Benin ๐ง๐ฏ, 3 from Czech Republic ๐จ๐ฟ, 3 from Poland ๐ต๐ฑ, 3 from Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ, 2 from Austria ๐ฆ๐น, 1 from Belarus ๐ง๐พ 1, from Germany ๐ฉ๐ช, 1 from Cape Verde ๐จ๐ป, 1 from Ivory Coast ๐จ๐ฎ, 1 from Togo ๐น๐ฌ, 1 from Russia ๐ท๐บ, 1 from Costa Rica ๐จ๐ท, 1 from Italy, 1 from Antigua & Barbuda ๐ฆ๐ฌ, 1 from Barbados ๐ง๐ง and 4 from unknown & countries.
21 players from 9 countries participated in the last edition of the practice tournament on Saturday. The team with the largest contingent this week was Uganda ๐บ๐ฌ with 6 players. Followed by Colombia ๐จ๐ดwith 4 players. With Kazakhstan ๐ฐ๐ฟ Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ & the UK ๐ฌ๐ง & with 2 players each. Finally Belarus ๐ง๐พ, Bรฉnin ๐ง๐ฏ, Czech Republic ๐จ๐ฟ, Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ & Kyrgyzstan ๐ฐ๐ฌ represented by one player each.
The Oga Ota of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ mrjohnson won the tournament for the tenth time in a row. Well done to him and everyone else that participated. He continues to make progress in catching up with 2nd position monkftw of the UK ๐ฌ๐ง, the difference now being just 5 points. As for the surpassing current leader harrison01 ๐บ๐ฌ, with a potential 112 points at stake and dwindling a 56.5 points difference, it looks like there is a chance of mrjohnson bridging this gap. This sets up the league for a nail bitting finish, stay tuned.
harrison01 of Uganda ๐บ๐ฌ still maintains his position at the top with 186.5 points. Trailing in 2nd with 135.0 points is monkftw of U.K. ๐ฌ๐ง and 3rd is the Oga Ota of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ mrjohnson with 130.0 points. With 17 weeks of the league to go the finishing line is getting closer & closer.
