Six weeks into the league 47 players from 15 countries have participated so far. The new players that took part in the last edition are: ayoboss ๐ง๐ฏ, jamal123 ๐ฌ๐ญ, laladom ๐น๐ฌ, & elvisaboaya ๐ฌ๐ญ. The numbers that participated in this weekโs tournament decreased from 25 to 20. The rankings still being dominated by the most consistent high ranking players who have participated in 5 or all 6 tournaments.
After the hotly contested 6th tournament of the season Oga Otโa of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ mrjohnson continued to increase his lead to 38.0 points reasserting his dominance of the game. In second place with 24.0 points is roberisco ๐ฌ๐ญ, & serikaktayev with 23.5 points in 3rd place. It is early days, but the competition is hotting up. With 46 tournaments to go in this seasonโs league and there is still time for consistent players to make their mark.
Well done to everyone who has participated ๐๐๐. Do well to recruit other players to participate in these tournaments, from your countries in order to enhance your nations scores. This will enable us to surpass last seasonโs tally of 112 players.
Please take note, the first three positioned players who are International or Full members of The Oware Society will be awarded cash prizes. Therefore If you place in the top 3, and wish to be considered for a cash award join The Oware Society. If donors & sponsorship can be acquired, and we are able to raise enough funds from member subscriptions we will put in place a prize fund. We will award prizes top placed, female, junior & continental players who have International, Full or Family membership.
